I grew up in New York and lived in the south, mid-west, and now in Maine for over 22 years. My first career was as a certified nurse-midwife and I cared for thousands of women during their child-bearing years. Next I followed my passion and, as a fiber artist and instructor, I opened a yarn, weaving, and spinning store. After a decades-long hiatus, I rediscovered my love for studio art. I like to call this my “Third Chapter.” Much of my artistic inspiration comes from travel throughout the US, Europe, Africa, and Asia. Most recently, I work in acrylics, oils, and mixed media. I love to take an image from everyday life and recreate it so others see what I see. My work can be found in private collections in the US and Sweden and is currently sold in several venues in Maine.
