Artist Statement
I had formal art education, but my greatest lessons come from the many decades of soul-filled lived experiences. My creations encourage Social and Spiritual Evolution. The wood and bronze creations speak with a symbolic language that delivers an ancient remembering, a celebration of the Great Mystery of our Being, and the responsibility to protect what is Sacred.
In 1977, I built a small cabin and lived a self-sufficient, off-the-grid lifestyle for eight years. During this most profound period of living in a completely interconnected way with Nature, I learned the sacredness of the connection of consciousness, environment, and the present moment.
Spiritual journeys have taken me to earth-based cultures worldwide to understand how their symbol systems convey spiritual beliefs into everyday life.
My sculptures/installations are portals to the spiritual aspects of our earthly and cosmic existence. These works aim to stimulate personal transformations that will ripple into the community and planet.
