Photography is a life long hobby of mine and “street photograhy” is one of many interests. I’ve been influenced by workshops I’ve taken with Meyerowitz, Maisel, and the New England School of Photography and explorations of Cartier-Bresson, Winogrand, Frank, etc. I especially like the book “Bystander” by Meyerowitz and Westerbeck, a history of street photography. While I will never achieve the quirkiness and ambiguity of many of their images, I like trying and seeing the work of some of the UMVA photographers. I also enjoy creating images of nature, marine and general travel experiences.
