Bio/Anne Strout/UMVA As a lifelong New Englander,I grew up in Milton ,Ma.I moved to Maine in the 70’s and presently live in Falmouth, Me.I have a rural studio next to my house where I work primarily with encaustic and oil /cold wax. I was a professional nurse ,and juggled a blended family of five children with working and a daily art practice.I love taking art courses and am currently enrolled in Painting with Fire ,a yearlong encaustic course.After retiring from nursing I became a full-time artist.I am a member of UMVA plus a member of the Barn Gallery, in Oqunquit, Me.
