She has an MA in Art and Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. She put art making on hold to pursue work in arts administration, focusing on marketing and communications for the New York State Council on the Arts, the Montclair Art Museum (NJ), and the Rubin Museum (NY). Working in her home studio in Belfast, she paints in watercolor and encaustic, sometimes combining mediums. An essay in the Winter 2025 issue of Maine Arts Journal describes her return to art making.
