Amy is an artist whose work delves into themes of nostalgia, common symbols, and memory, she invites the viewer to engage in the narrative process in a manner that is both intimate and deeply personal. Drawing from her fine arts education, she approaches her work with a profound appreciation for artistic heritage, while staying connected to the present through the timelessness of aesthetic simplicity. Through an understated language of visual symbols and meditative studies, her work manifests as a visual journal chronicling transformation, discovery, and solitude. Her attention to light, shadow and form, combined with the unique attributes of each photograph, imbues every piece with its own distinctive story, personality and soul. She has belonged to the UMVA since 2019 and was its Gallery Manager from 2020-2024.
